Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Russian President Vladimir Putin said Hungary could buy natural gas from the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline, which would be in Hungary's interest.
Speaking to reporters at a joint press conference after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban, the Russian President said his country views Hungary as an important partner in the transportation of natural gas to Europe.
Construction of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline will be completed by the end of this year, Putin said, and work will be done in Bulgaria and Serbia next year. Vladimir Putin added that work should only be done on the 15-kilometre section in Hungary.
The Russian President also claimed that Hungary's participation in the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline was in his interest, so that Hungary could secure its own energy through it.
