Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani came together for a trilateral summit organized in Ankara regarding Syria’s future. Leaders have reported the common opinion in the matter should be resolved by political means.
The summit also emphasized the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, while Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all foreign troops in Syria should leave the country after the war.
Stating that foreign troops in Syria should return to their own countries, the Russian President said that it is illegal for American soldiers to be in this country.
The tripartite summit emphasized that the territorial integrity of the country should be protected and the main objective was to prevent the partition of Syria. At the summit, the latest situation in Idlib, refugees, political solution and the presence of the US in Syria were among the topics discussed.
