Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The world's leading pharmaceutical companies are producing record levels of flu vaccines to ease hospitals, albeit with little to no relief, ahead of a cold last winter as the coronovirus outbreak continues.
Flu vaccine production in the United States was up 11 percent from the previous year. It was stated that pharmacies worldwide ordered more than twice as many non-prescription flu shots to manufacturers than in the previous year.
Drugmaker Seqirus increased its production of the vaccine for next year by 15 percent, increasing its production from 52 million to 60 million doses. French pharmaceutical company Sanofi also increased its production by 20 percent, from 70 million to 80 million doses.
