Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Northern Macedonia and Albania are ready to begin accession talks with the European Union, said Oliver Varhelyi, the European Union's enlargement Representative.
Speaking to reporters after his visit to Skopje, Varhelyi said he hoped the European Union would open full membership talks with the two countries in the coming months. Oliver Varhelyi said the two countries are ready to launch full membership talks.
The European Union Commission will recommend the start of the talks, Varhelyi said, urging Northern Macedonia to implement reforms promised to Brussels, especially in the field of law.
The name issue with Greece and the neighborhood issue with Bulgaria must now be fully resolved, the European Union representative added.
