Selin ATAY-TDO-North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory address for the 70th anniversary of Communist rule to Chinese President Xi Jinping stating that North Korea will always stand by China.
In his message, Kim Jog-un stressed that the talented and diligent Chinese people have been consistently struggling for 70 years under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He continued “Our party, government and people fully support the CCP in its efforts to defend the stability and fundamental interests of the country and to achieve sustainable development, and will always be on your side in defending and glorifying socialism.”
The North Korean leader added his 'firm belief that the relations of friendship and cooperation between North Korea and China will become more vibrant by the day in line with the needs of the new era and the common desire of the peoples of the two countries.'
China had supported North Korea against NATO forces in the Korean War, but China and North Korea's intimate bilateral relations since the Cold War have deteriorated. As the North Korea's accelerated denuclearization and missile tests that would pose a threat to China.
