Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- Javits Center, one of the world's largest fairgrounds in New York, has been turned into an emergency hospital to fight the new type of Corona Virus.
After New York Governor Andrew Cuomo requested the establishment of emergency hospitals from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to fight the Corona Virus, the officials began to work to transform the largest showroom, Javits Center, into a hospital in New York City.
As part of the on-site inspections by Governor Andrew Cuomo, the emergency officers moved medical supplies and beds to the Javits Center with the help of Brigade Support Soldiers affiliated with the 53rd Army Command of the US army.
The showroom, with an area of 170 thousand square meters, where four separate emergency hospitals with 250 beds, will be created by FEMA, will be the center of fights against the Corona Virus in New York City.
"This is a matter of life and death," Governor Cuomo said in a press release while emphasizing the urgency of the situation using his expressions in Albany.
Cuomo argues that the survival or loss of citizens diagnosed with the outbreak depends on the establishment of these emergency hospitals.
