NEW PRESIDENT OF MOLDOVA REMOVES EU FLAG

By Nuran Yıldırım - TDO - Igor Dodon, who won the presidential election in Moldova last November, has removed the flag of European Union from the Presidential building.

This has happened only on the second day of Dodon’s presidential mandate. Instead of the removed flag, Moldovan flag was placed.

Speaking on the subject, the spokesperson of the President, Ion Ceban voiced that President Dodon respects the Flag of the Republic of Moldova and is acting in line with decisions of the government. At the same time, Ceban stated that only the Moldova flag will take place in the Presidential building.

Also, the official website of the Presidency has been changed to Moldavian language instead of Romanian. The new administration has also stopped using the European symbols.
