Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Britain's failure to propose names to the European Commission team, which is being set up despite all the calls of the European Union, has caused a crisis between the two sides. Britain, which will go to an early general election, is not responding to the European Union for nearly two years.
In September, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called on the UK Government to do so again, calling for the request to be fulfilled by the end of the week.
Answering questions from journalists at a daily press conference at the European Commission, Commission spokesmen left unanswered questions about whether the European Commission could take office on December 1 without Britain becoming a member. The spokesmen, who had a hard time with the overlapping questions, said they were waiting for answers from the UK to assess the issue.
As is known, the Brexit date has been delayed three times so far; the new separation date is set at 31 January 2020.
