Journalist and author Sinan Onuş has written a book based on the memoires of two Turkish officers, Colonel Ali Rıza Bey and Dr. Mehmet Fuat Bey who served in the Special Organisation (Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa) during the First World War. The book titled Teşkilat-ı Mahsusa’dan Kurtuluş Savaşı’na Kızılca Kıyamet (“Chaos and Mayhem from the Special Organisation to the War of Independence”) once more reveals the difficulties faced during the War of Independence on both the western and eastern fronts through the diary entries of the two Turkish officers.By Tümay BERKİNYou can read the rest of the article on our issue of February
