Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Fathi Bashaga, Interior Minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord, which is one of the sides of the current civil war in Libya, said Egypt could help end the divisions in his country.
Speaking about the alleged abuse of Egyptian prisoners of war, shared on social media and held by the national reconciliation government, Fathi Bashaga said he had doubts about the authenticity of the video and said Libya's Interior Ministry would launch an investigation into the claim.
He said that they condemned these practices and that such actions had no connection to Libyan morality.
Explaining his views on relations with Egypt, Fathi Bashaga said: "Egypt is an important country for Libya. We care about our relations with Cairo. Egypt has the capacity to help solve Libya's problems."
