54 judges, 8 of them women, began their duties in the high court, where they were appointed after sworn in the presence of Kuwait's Supreme Judicial Council President Yousef Jassem Al-Mutawaa.
Kuwait's Supreme Judicial Council President Yousef Jassem Al-Mutawaa addressed the new judges, congratulating the appointed judges and saying that the appointments are part of the steps to "Kuwait" the judiciary.
Mutawaa spoke of the legal obligations carried by the appointed judges in question and called for his duties to be fulfilled to rule cases with justice, said in a statement.
Mutawaa said that about the appointed female judges, their experience will undergo an assessment and as a result of this assessment, the number of female judges can increase.
