JAPAN WANTS TO END TRADE WAR BETWEEN CHINA AND USA




Mustafa AY – TDO – 19.09.2018 On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump proclaimed the imposition of +10 percent tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese imports, which will be implemented on 24th of September. Following President Trump’s announcement, Japan’s Economy Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Finance Minister Taro Aso called on USA and China to find a solution to end trade war over the concern of that US sanction-oriented tariffs on China will trigger deterioration of ongoing crisis in South China Sea. Japanese ministers underlined the fact that if the crisis deepens in Asia-Pacific, it’s inevitable for the World to witness global economic crisis. Tokyo administration reiterated its call on both sides to solve the problems through dialogue instead of enforcing retaliatory tariffs on each other.
