Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Italian police have raided a group preparing to form a Nazi party in a nationwide operation.
After a nearly two-year investigation, police forces decided to operate the operation, and in a simultaneous operation in 16 cities across the country, they arrested people who share the same ideology, aiming to create giant weapons depots as well as an openly pro-Nazi movement.
Authorities were not informed about how many members of the movement were involved and the number of people detained in the huge operation in Italy, where the defense of fascism and founding a fascist political party are considered a serious crime.
A police operation on 19 houses called the "National Socialist Italian Workers 'Party" found portraits of Adolf Hitler, swastikas and many items belonging to Nazis. Numerous shotguns and handguns were also confiscated during the operation.
