Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Israel's Tourism Minister, Asaf Zamir, announced his resignation from his post. In a statement on his social media account, Zamir said he had submitted his resignation to Benny Gantz, the leader of the Blue-and-white Alliance, of which he is a coalition partner and a member.
Asaf Zamir, who claimed that Netanyahu put his personal interests before everything else, continued his statement: "My conscience does not allow me to remain in a government that prevents protests. I couldn't be more involved in a government led by someone I didn't trust. Even in his most difficult times, Netanyahu is running the country in his own political interest."
Asaf Zamir is expected to be replaced by Orit Farkash Hacohen as Tourism Minister, Reuters reported.
