GREEK PM TO DEMAND CONDEMNATION FROM TURKEY AT NATO SUMMIT

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will demand condemnation from NATO for Turkey during the summit, which will convene in London on December 3-4.

In his closing speech at the Congress of his New Democracy party, Mitsotakis said Greece would not go unanswered by any incitement by Turkey.

The European People's party (EPP), the largest political group in the European Parliament, has also backed the Greek prime minister, adding that it is not possible for an alliance like NATO to stand on the sidelines and remain silent while one of its members openly violates international law and faces another.

Mitsotakis said equal distance among members is against Greece, which has never been in favour of tension in the region, but his country will protect itself.
