Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias paid a visit to Libya. Dendias is expected to meet with Khalifa Hafter, who leads the Libyan National Army, in the coming days.

Nikos Dendias departed Benghazi from the military airport in Elefsina on Sunday (yesterday) morning, Greece-based Ekathimerini news agency quoted Nikos Dendias as saying.

Nikos Dendias has also recently made visits to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

In Libya, which has been plagued by political instability, Benghazi is home to the House of Representatives, its affiliated government and the Libyan National Army, which are loyal to Khalifa Hafter. On the other side are soldiers from the Tripoli-based National Reconciliation Government and the Supreme Council of State, a continuation of the National General Congress, where Islamists weigh in.

Reacting to a memorandum of understanding between Turkey and the National Memorandum of understanding in Tripoli on the limitation of ‘maritime jurisdiction', Greece summoned Libya's ambassador to Athens to its Foreign Ministry, requesting information on the content of the agreement.
