Serhat TUNAR -TDO- As part of measures taken against the economic effects of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, the state will pay 80 per cent of the salary of employees who cannot go to work for the first time in the country's history, up to 2,500 pounds a month, British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said.

In a statement, Rishi Sunak noted the economic measures taken against the effects of the covid-19 outbreak.

The Finance Minister told reporters that he knew that people were worried about losing their jobs and that economic intervention against the epidemic would protect the jobs and incomes of employees.

Rishi Sunak stated that for the first time in the country's history, the government would take steps to help citizens ' salaries and stated that:

“80 per cent of the salaries of employees who cannot go to work will be covered by the government at up to £ 2,500 a month. That's above average income, and of course employers can increase salaries if they want to. This means that workers in the UK can keep their jobs even if their employer is unable to pay them, and at least 80 per cent of their salary can be paid."
