GOVERNMENT RESIGNATION DEMANDED IN BULGARIA

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said the government should resign and call early general elections, citing nearly a week of anti-government demonstrations in his country.

Rumen Radev added that for the country's political process to be restarted and modernised, the current government and the chief prosecutor should resign and hold elections.

Bulgaria's president, who also said there were people from all walks of society at the protests across Bulgaria, called on demonstrators to stay away from incitement and violence.
