Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Condemnation came to Russia from the European Union and NATO after Germany announced that Russian dissident Alexei Navalny had been poisoned with nerve gas.
A statement by the European Union called for a detailed investigation into the assassination attempt on Russia and called for those responsible to be brought to court.
The use of chemical weapons cannot be accepted under any circumstances, said Josep Borrell, the European Union's foreign affairs representative, adding that they will follow the issue.
Angela Merkel also asked all Western countries to demand answers from Russia on the issue and join the condemnation. Merkel continued her statement: "it is certain that Alexei Navalny was a victim of a crime. He was asked to be silenced, and I condemn it in the harshest way on behalf of the German state."
