CORONAVIRUS CASES ON THE RISE IN IRELAND

17/10/2020

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The government could announce a new curfew across the country after health officials and doctors in Ireland demanded increased restrictions on the outbreak following rising cases of coronavirus across Europe.

It was claimed that Prime Minister Michael Martin, who recently wanted to take a decision on the issue, met with Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan, the most competent person in Ireland, and they agreed that it was a better decision to enter a new quarantine process nationally, rather than a partial closure of restaurants and shops across the country.

Chief Justice Tony Holohan said at a meeting with the health board that they had not waived the curfew decisions, and also proposed increasing the level of the measure.
