News Center -TDO- Brazil’s Ambassador to Turkey Eduardo Riccardo Gradilone and his spouse Diva Cristina Gradilone hosted a reception at Brazilian Embassy in Ankara in consequence of “Brazilian National Day”.
Governor of Ankara Vasip Şahin, Director General of Bilateral Political Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Süleyman İnan Özyıldız, Foreign mission representative in Ankara, academicians and other guests attended to the reception.
The reception started with singing of the national anthems of the two countries and continued with the opening speech of Ambassador Gradilone.
Ambassador Gradilone noted that the two countries cooperate in various fields and international platforms such as trade volume, tourism and student exchange programs and said "Relations between Turkey and Brazil are showing continuous improvement."
Ambassador Gradilone told that their main aim was promoting Turkish and Brazilian cultures with various activities.
Ambassador Özyıldız, Director General of Bilateral Political Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his speech here, recalled that the two countries celebrated the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations last year and stated "Brazil is our strategic partner in Latin America. Despite the geographical distance, our countries are pleased to have excellent relations, solid friendship and constant dialogue."
Ambassador Özyıldız reminded that Brazil is Turkey's largest trading partner in Latin America and the two countries' cooperation in the Caribbean pointed to the potential for diversification.
Ambassador Özyıldız also noted that Turkey and Brazil are members of G20 and the United Nations and stated that they wish to advance relations in every possible field.
