Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Another issue that drew attention alongside Boris Johnson in the UK general election was artificial intelligence. The BBC announced that for each region where the results were announced in the general election, they broadcast a separate news story written by computer. English and Welsh reports of artificial intelligence were checked by an editor prior to publication.
About 700 reports included information such as who was ahead in which district and how much of the polls had been opened, and compared voting rates from past periods.
Experts say the system is not designed to replace people but to enrich the flow of news. The reason, experts say, is that the computer can only write news on digital data.
The researchers note that artificial intelligence is unable to comment or evaluate for now, stressing that human creativity cannot yet be imitated by robots.
