News Centre -TDO- The current ambassador of the Philippines to Turkey, Raul S. Hernandez, who had previously served in the Republic of Korea was awarded the Order of the “Gwanghwa Medal”, the Diplomatic Service Award, in a simple ceremony. He was awarded the medal by Choi Hong-ghi, the Republic of Korea's Ambassador to Turkey, on behalf of the president of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in.
A message from Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, was also read during the ceremony. In his message, Moon Jae-in thanked Ambassador Raul Hernandez for his work in improving friendly relations between the Republic of Korea and the Philippines and expressed his pleasure to present him with the Gwanghwa Medal.
Ambassador Hernandez expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Korea and said he was honored to receive this medal. He added that there will always be efforts to further improve relations between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea.
