News Centre –TDO-A meeting was conducted in Gazi University regarding the Africa Day (25th of May). Several guests from diverse occupations joined to the event.
Turkey’s First Lady, Emine Erdoğan and Hadja Djene Kaba Conde, First Lady of Guinea were among attendees.
Head of Gazi University, Prof.Dr.İbrahim Uslan, First Lady of Guinea Conde and Erdoğan gave speech in the event . Erdoğan said Turkey’s approach to African countries were always friendly and Turkey wants Africa to born out of its ashes. Also, she stated that the African Culture House has great potential to improve relations and should be used more efficiently. She encouraged wives of African ambassadors to establish necessary business links to import more goods to the African handcraft bazaar in Hamamönü. She said Turkey wants to support African woman.
After speeches, Gazi University Research Center for Mediterranean Basin and African Civilizations (GAKAF) representative brought , TİKA, Ataturk Higher Institution of Culture, Language and History, Turkish Religious Foundation, THY, TRT and Kızılay their rewards as ‘’ The Institution of the Year’’.
Program continued with famous African singer Mori Cante’s mini concert.
