Aslıhan DOĞRU -TDO- 3.6 million people were reported to be unemployed due to a new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) outbreak in France.
Labor Minister Muriel Penicaud said in a statement that 337,000 companies, that were negatively affected by the outbreak, had fired 3.6 million employees.
Penicaud said that this cost the state 11 billion euros.
Those who were laid off reportedly will receive 70 percent of their salary as unemployment benefits from the state.
The number of people killed due to coronavirus in France increased to 3,523 and the number of cases increased to 52,128.
