Voters in the Netherlands have rejected in a referendum on April 6th an association agreement between the EU and Ukraine. The vote result was non-binding, but it requires the Dutch parliament to reconsider the deal.The agreement with Ukraine was rejected by 61% of votes, with 38% in favour. Turnout was at 32%, just above the minimum threshold of 30% needed for the referendum to be considered legally valid and to require the Dutch parliament and government to take the results into consideration.By Michael DUSHENEYou can read the rest of the article on our issue of May
