News Center -TDO-Turkey Gabriel Catalin Şopanda hosted the opening ceremony of the “Women and Art: Acculturation Between Turkey and Romania” exhibition organized by Romanian Embassy in Ankara and Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts. Ceramic, painting, graphics, sculpture and photography works of 28 different women artists was exhibited during the event.
Rector of Hacettepe University Prof. Dr. Haluk Özen, Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, mission chiefs performing their duty in Ankara and other guests attended tot the opening ceremony.
As part of the Presidency of the European Union (EU) Council of Romania, in the event which was organized for the International Women's Day on March 8th, Ceramic, painting, graphics, sculpture and photography works of 28 different women artists was exhibited.
All the works in the exhibition were attributed to the women of the world. The themes of the exhibited Works were "mother, family and society".
In the exhibition, based on customs and traditions, two neighboring and friendly countries Turkey and Romania were the most prominent artistic aspects.
