US COMPLETED THE FULL DEPLOYMENT AND TRANSFER OF THAAD SYSTEMS IN S. KOREA

Mustafa AY - TDO - 23.10.2017 Since 2016, with the proliferation of nuclear missile tests from N. Korea, USA felt that ballistic missile tests that N. Korean mad leader Kim Yong-Un pioneered may be more than a test. So, Washington necessarily take imminent precautions so that possible ballistic can be evaded immediately. One of the preliminary measures White House had to take is to deploy THAAD system in Kodiak Island-Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and inevitably S. Korea’s Seongju County. S. Korea and USA reached a compulsory consensus on deployment of THAAD systems on S. Korea’ Seongju County, while N. Korean leader was keep launching nuclear ballistic missiles.

Today -on Sunday-, US Forces Korea (USFK) officially approved the news regarding that process of THAAD deployment in S. Korea was fully completed, with that USFK transferred the control of THAAD missiles to S. Korean officials.  Delta Battery of the 11th Air Defense Artillery - officials specialized in THAAD missile system - from Fort Bliss in Texas transferred the full control of THAAD system to 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in South Korea with a ceremony. During deploy-transfer process, Russia and China have not welcome it due to national security concerns like the possibility of restricting both countries’ radius of military action.
