Serhat TUNAR -TDO- The United States Department of Foreign Affairs announced that the United States will withdraw all its diplomatic personnel from Venezuela this week.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement from his social media account that the decision was made after the negative political developments in Venezuela and that US staff in Venezuela were unable to impose certain sanctions.

Mike Pompeo has not given the exact date on which day his diplomatic staff in Caracas would return to US.

In January, the US State Department ordered second-degree staff in the US Embassy in Venezuela to leave the country; however, he explained that first-degree staff would continue to perform their duties.
