The United Nations called on countries to disobey the arms embargo on Libya and not to intervene in the crisis. In the evening of Friday (yesterday), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the President of the Libyan National Memorandum Government Presidency Council Fayiz Mustafa al Serrac.
The United Nations Security Council, in a statement after an emergency session last week, Libya's capital, located near Tripoli condemned the attack on the center of immigrants in the Tacura region.
In a statement called for the immediate reduction of the tension and the ceasefire, the parties were invited to return to the political process under the supervision of the United Nations and the member states were warned to comply with the arms embargo applied to Libya and not to intervene in the crisis.
As it is known, 53 people were killed and more than 130 were wounded in the attack of the planes belonging to the forces of the Caliph Hafter in Libya against a shelter center in the east of the capital, Tripoli.
In Libya, where internal turmoil has continued since 2011, there are violent clashes between the internationally recognized National Memorandum of Government units and the forces affiliated with Hafter.
