UN BASE IN MALI HIT AGAIN




Mustafa AY – TDO – 23.04.2018 In 14th of April, ‘Super Camp’ military base hosting UN Peace Keeping troops in the city of Timbuktu, which is one of the large cities of Mali, encountered a cruel assail with bomb loaded car by so-called Islamist militants. Besides this, so-called Islamist militants executed a series of rocket strikes to the base, which left 1 Peace Keeping soldier from Burkino Faso dead and 7 French soldiers wounded.

On Sunday, Super Kamp was subject to the sequence of mortar fires. According to the information acquired from UN officials, the same group of so-called Islamist militants were accountable for the mortar strike. UN officials stated that no UN Peace Keeping soldier took damage from the attack fortunately.
