Serhat TUNAR -TDO- British lawmakers have announced thatthe reports which including women's rights activists in Saudi Arabia have been tortured in prison are true according to the BBC.
Parliamentarians, who made the claim, said that the activists were deprived of sleep, they were subjected to attack and their lives are under threat.
Saudi officials argue that torture is forbidden in the country.
The British Parliamentariansreported that they had applied to Saudi officials to meet with eight women activists who were detained, but they had not yet received a return.
Amnesty International, a London-based human rights organization, reported last month that the detained activists were given electricity and that these activists were whipped and subjected to sexual harassment.
