Serhat TUNAR -TDO- ErkinTuniyaz, Deputy Governor of Xinjiang Region appointed by the Chinese government to East Turkestan, argued that the concentration camps where millions of Uighur Turks were held were in humanitarian conditions.

In his speech at the UN Human Rights Council, which will be held at the United Nations Geneva Office and will continue until July 12, Tuniyaz stated that they aim to establish vocational training centers in accordance with the law, to educate those affected by religious extremism and to protect those who commit criminal offenses. The deputy governor claimed that they prevented them from becoming victims of terrorism and extremism.

Uighur-origin Chinese Communist Party member Erkin Tuniyaz added that the Chinese government prevented terrorism and religious extremism in East Turkestan with applying these kind of method.
