Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Two intelligence officers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were arrested in Istanbul.
As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, two intelligence officers alleged to spy on the United Arab Emirates were brought to court on charges of 'political and military espionage' and 'international espionage'.
According to the statement, the suspects were investigated whether there is a connection with the murder of Cemal Kaşıkçı said.
A few days after the arrest of one of the intelligence officers in October 2018 Kaşıkçı killed were found to have entered Turkey.
As it is known, the journalist Cemal Kaşıkçı was killed in October 2018 at the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul. The spoonbill murder has yet to be clarified.
