TURKEY MAY HAVE TO PAY THE ECONOMIC BILL FOR ITS TROUBLED GEOGRAPHY





For the last three years, the Turkish economy has been under the influence of domestic and international political developments. With the structural reforms being put on hold since 2007, coupled with troubling domestic and foreign political developments, the performance of the Turkish economy has fallen sharply. Unemployment and inflation, two chief indicators of the course of the economy, have both gone out of control and risen to the double digit level.
