THE RADOVAN KARADZIC TRIAL AND POLITICISED JUSTICE






The International War Crimes Tribunal has concluded the trial of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, and has sentenced him to 40 years imprisonment. The date of the decision, March 24th 2016, was also the 17th anniversary of the NATO bombardment against the Milosevic regime. The NATO campaign had stopped the massacres in Kosovo, bought about the end of the Milosevic regime and caused a number of radical changes and transformations in international politics and law which are felt to this day.
