Serhat TUNAR -TDO - Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir announced that the women who participated in anti-government demonstrations and was under arrest will be the release.
In Sudan, where long-standing anti-government demonstrations continued, amnesty was issued for women detained for International Women's Day. President Bashir asked for the release of women in prisons for their participation in the protests.
However, it is estimated that the number of women in prison is around 150 on account of their anti-government action.
After months of demonstrations in Sudan, a state of emergency was declared and protests were banned. However, thousands of people continued their protests against Omar al-Bashir's resignation.
