The royal decree that hasn’t been implemented yet necessitates some procedures like amending the regulation of traffic and handling the educational matters for driving licenses. For all, Saudi Arabia commenced all pre-preparations so that they won’t see any challenges for both themselves and women. Therefore, Saudi women can drive from 2018 on.
King Salman can be deemed as the one among all Kings of Saudi Arabia, who attached importance to women, because he pioneered female-related breakthroughs that lead the deep-rooted masculine culture to fade away. In 2015, King Salman became the first ruler to recognize enfranchisement of women. Following his edict, as a result of local elections of 2015, municipal council witnessed the first member in the seats in its history.
