Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said the attempts by the Venezuelan government to forcibly change prevent the efforts to resolve the crisis in the country and could have negative consequences.
Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Jorge Arreaza in Moscow and underlining that they support the Venezuelan government. Lavrov said "You are aware about our principled, consistent, and firm support for the legitimate government of Venezuela, headed by President Maduro. We condemn this campaign for violating the principles of international law.”
Lavrov said, “In Venezuela, attempts to change the government are not clearly democratic. These efforts only undermine the solution of the crisis through political means, and continuing this trial will have negative consequences.”
