Saudi Arabian Commissioner for Human Rights Bandar bin Mohammed al-Aiban stated that the perpetrators were punished and that the desire to open an international investigation on this issue would mean an intervention in Saudi Arabia's internal affairs. Aiban, who made statements at the United Nations General Assembly, did not give any information about the identity of the suspects. Aiban said in his statement that Saudi Arabia's justice system is carried out in accordance with international law.

Turkey wants Saudi Arabia to disclosure of the identity of the suspect and share more details on this specific subject.

Lastly, Communications Director of the Turkish Presidency Fahrettin Altun requested Saudi Arabia to share details of the case in an interview with Reuters.
