S. KOREA AND N. KOREA COMMENCED CLEARING MINES FROM DEMILITARIZED ZONE




Mustafa AY – TDO – 03.10.2018 As of 1st of October, South Korea and North Korea commenced joint works to clear mines from joint security areas along demilitarized zone. The joint works, which is stated to be a part of an agreement for disarmament of the border area, to demine demilitarized zone will reportedly last for 20 days. According to S. Korean Ministry of Defences’ official assertion, Seoul and Pyongyang agreed on launching joint works for clearing joint security areas in S. Korea’s Cheorwon from all sorts of explosives such as anti-tank and anti-personnel mines and others.
