Mustafa AY – TDO – 30.07.2018 Russian President Vladimir Putin made an important announcement for FIFA fans, who traveled to Russia for supporting their national teams, in 2018 World Cup Closing Ceremony. In accordance with his announcement, World Cup tourists may enjoy visa-free entry to Russia until the end of 2018, said Putin. In the aftermath of Putin’s announcement, Russia’s lower house, State Duma, passed temporary bill relating to visa-free entry for World Cup fans, which required Russia’s upper house –Russian Federal Assembly- to approve the bill thereafter. So, Russian Federal Assembly approved the temporary bill on Saturday. In order to put the bill into implementation completely, Russian President Vladimir Putin has to sign under the bill and so he will. The visa-free law will be in implementation till 31st of December, 2018. By the virtue of this temporary law, Russian government expects considerable rise in the number of tourist in the second half of 2018.
