ROUHANI: US DECISION TO IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON JAVAD ZARIF IS NOT PLAUSIBLE

Serhat TUNAR -TDO- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani considered Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif's imposition of sanctions by the United States as an unreasonable, irrational practice.

"The United States has made an unreasonable practice. The United States constantly wanted to negotiate with us, but also imposed sanctions on our Foreign Minister," the Iranian President said at a ceremony in Tabriz.

Referring to an interview with American media in New York, where Foreign Minister Javad Zarif went to attend a meeting, Rouhani added that he was afraid of the Iranian foreign minister's interviews in a country that believes it is powerful and the world's superpower.
