News Center -TDO- Bangladesh Ambassador to Turkey M.Allama Siddiki and his spouse Rashna Farruk Siddiki, hosted a reception at Sheraton Hotel in Ankara due to the celebration of the 48th Anniversary of the Independence and National Day of Bangladesh.
Minister of National Education of Turkey Ziya Selçuk, General Ümit Dündar, Turkish Coast Guard Commander, Rear Admiral Ahmet Kendir, Head of the Foreign Missions and many other guests attended to the reception.
Ambassador Siddiki,made a speech at the reception and said that the two countries have very close relations and statedthat the people of Bangladesh have deep love and respect for the Turkish people.
"We appreciate Turkey's success in the 2000s," saidMr. Ambassador in his speech and also underlined thathis process reached prosperity by providing great progress and drew attentionto the development in all fields.
Siddiki, also said that they appreciate Turkey for what they did for Rohingya Muslims and that they will never forget this.
Mr. Ambassador stressed that they believe the relations between Bangladesh and Turkeywill grow stronger in the coming years, particularly in education, defense, trade and economy.
"We hope that Bangladesh will be one of the leading countries in the world with 8 percent growth this year," said Bangladesh Ambassador to Turkey Allama Siddiki.
Allama Siddiki also stated, "I believe that you will see a very different Bangladesh in 10 years from now. We are following the traces of the fast growing countries in Asia like Japan, South Korea and Thailandin a short time. We hope there will be a tiger economy in South Asia in Bangladesh. "
Turkish Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk, also made a speech and celebrated he National Day of Bangladesh. He said, "On behalf of our people,I congratulate the people of Bangladesh and the government. We have supported the strong relations between Turkey and Bangladesh and we believe that these two countries will always stand by each other in difficult times."
Minister of Education also stated, "We hope this relationship is going to develop and deepen more in the near future."
Ziya Selçuk, stated that the peace and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh is important for them and said that they will continue the solidarity with Bangladesh.
Selçuk, added that the cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of culture and economy, would be the greatest legacy for the prosperity of future generations.
