Hassam Hameed-TDO-30.01.2018- Opposition leader of Kenya ‘Raila Odinga’ is planning to swear-in himself as new President, today. This is a final challenge to Uhuru Kenyatta’s controversial election victory.
Opposition nation super alliance(NASA) claims elections held in August were fraudulent and want new elections. They are intending to hold a ‘swearing-in’ ceremony in Nairobi to further stress the government, who claim this as to be just a “noise”. Police has already said that a gathering of such sort is unlawful and an act of treason, and would be dealt with appropriately. Odinga has been delaying this ceremony but this time his party is insisting to go on with it.
Leaders of opposition have already started holding “people’s assemblies” in some sectors of the country, and believe that the swearing-in of Odinga would be the climax of this affair.
