News Center –TDO- Qatar’s Ambassador to Turkey Salim bin Mübarek el-Şafi hosted a reception at Ankara JW Marriott Hotel.
The reception was attended by the President of the Parliament, Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, the Presidency Spokesman İbrahim Kalın, the AK Party Kayseri deputy Taner Yıldız, the former State Minister Kürşat Tüzmen and the Grand Union Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici, as well as numerous diplomatic missions and the representative of the military mission.
Ambassador el-Şafi delivered a speech in which he said “Qatar and Turkey are no longer two bodies, they are one heart. Just like day say “for better, for worse”. "
El-Şafi also told that the relation between Turkey and Qatar is a good example to the other countries to follow. He said: “Our relations consist of solid values and supreme principles. We built our relations on a ground that ensures the victory of humanity.”
El-Şafi said that they were really happy because of the relations between these two countries in the leaderships of President Recep Tayyip Erdopan and Sheikh Temim bin Hamed Al Sani. “Qatar will always next to Turkey when they struggle against difficulties” he underlined.
The President of the Parliament Binali Yıldırım also made a speech at the reception. He said “Our relations with Qatar have developed in fifty years and they are getting stronger day by day. Until today, both Qatar and Turkey struggle a lot of difficulties. But they have overcome with these difficulties under favor of helping each other and solidarity. We have a common statement in our language for people who are always be there for thier friends in their difficult times; we describe them as “a friend in need”. Turkey and Qatar have always been ‘a friend in need’ for each other. Our relations will always continue on these themes.
After the speeches, the President of the Parliament Binali Yıldırım, Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın, Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu and Ambassador Salim bin Mübarek el-Şafi cut the celebration cake.
