PUTIN GAVE THE START OF GAS SUPPLY TO THE CRIMEA FROM THE RUSSIA




Diana ADZHYKELDIIEVA – TDO – Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the start gas supply in the Crimea from Russia after the completion of the connection of the gas transportation system of the peninsula to the main pipelines of the Russian Federation.

Running the pipeline will ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas to all categories of consumers of the Crimea through the integration of the pipeline into the existing gas transportation system of the peninsula. The ceremony of launching a videoconference with the Crimea took part in Moscow Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov and acting Governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, from Simferopol - the general director of State Unitary Enterprise "Chernomorneftegaz" Igor Shabanov.

The total length of the pipeline is 358.7 km, including a two line crossing over Lake Tuzla and the Kerch Strait, as well as the gas lateral to Simferopol length of 27.3 kilometers. On completion of the accession of the Crimean gas transportation infrastructure, Putin said at a big press conference on December 23.
