Hassam Hameed-TDO-09.02.2018- Around 100 pro-regime fighters died in the strike by United States. US says it was a retaliation to an attack by pro-regime forces on Syrian Democratic forces well grounded headquarters. This happened in the province of Deir al-Zour.
US claims first attack was initiated by pro-regime forces on the oil and gas installations which called for a strong response from US government. This region was captured by SDF from Islamic state in September 2017, and was operating as headquarter for SDF. Syrian state media posed this as an “aggression” by US.
Although Syrian Observatory for Human rights has reported only 45 deaths.
