PEACE NEGOTIATIONS FOR CIVIL WAR IN YEMEN




Mustafa AY- TDO-07.12.18 On Thursday, Martin Griffiths -UN's Special Envoy to Yemen- addressed parties of Yemeni Civil War - Riyadh-backed Mansour Hadi Government and Tehran-backed Shia Houthis-, who gathered for peace negotiations in Sweden's Rimbo. Special Envoy Griffiths emphasized the gravity of the peace negotiations with these remarks: " Future of Yemen is at your hands... If you don't immediately take action for it, you'll lose control of the future of your country, in other words, there will be irreparable and irreversible damage to arise for sure." If Griffiths intensive efforts to reconcile the fighting parties culminates in accomplishment, over 3-year-long Yemeni Conflict, which led 22 million to suffer from extreme starvation as well as 56.000 civilians' death, will be finally end.
