Serhat Tunar -TDO- Following the agreement with Greece, the constitutional amendment, which envisages changing the name of Macedonia to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
The first application of the decision to change the name of Macedonia to 'Republic of Northern Macedonia' was the replacement of road signs on the Greek border. It was announced that the change in all border points would be completed within three days.
At the same time, the airport, official buildings, plates, official web pages and printed materials will be changed. Also the “NRF” abbreviation will be added to the plates. Passports and currencies are scheduled to be changed next year.
The Macedonian government has announced it will notify the United Nations in the coming days.
